Who We Are
"Human history depends on how hard we work, on how much we are willing to sacrifice. We can be amazed by our effort if we continually stay at it on the ground."
- Cornel West
Andover High School's Amnesty International Club is an official charter of Amnesty International and works to promote human rights and fight injustices both locally and globally. Our club is dedicated to advocating for human rights by spreading awareness throughout our community and campus by collaborating with other groups, holding non-violent actions, writing letters, and bringing in Guest Speakers.
We discuss a wide variety of current events pertaining to Amnesty International's priority campaigns. We hold a variety of fundraisers, events, and awareness campaigns this year, collaborating with other on-campus clubs such as Red Cross, UNICEF, and LINK, as well as with local AI groups.
Our past work has included raising funds for Philippine Typhoon Relief, aid to the Malala fund, hosting a book drive, and awareness and educational campaigns on torture, women's rights, the Death Penalty, and much more. To learn more, click below.
